Soli-Tarot

 This is a variation of Klondike Solitaire that’s played with a full 78 card Tarot deck.

While Klondike Solitaire may be played with a measly 52 card deck, this variation makes full use of all 78 cards in a tarot deck.

Tarot decks have 4 court cards, instead of the 3 face cards you may be more familiar with. In order from lowest to highest they are: Page, Knight, Queen, and King. These 56 cards are known as the minor arcana.

The biggest difference is the inclusion of the major arcana, a set of 22 cards that function as a fifth suit. Known as the triumphs, because they triumph over other the minor arcana. In this game the triumphs can be placed on any other suit. The fool can either be played as an Ace or a wild card, meaning it can be placed anywhere at anytime (This is a toggleable setting that can be changed before starting a game).

Lastly, there are 5 suits including the triumphs. The other 4 are: Pentacles (also known as Coins), Cups, Swords, and Wands. As with traditional Solitaire, these 4 suits must alternate red on black and black on red. With a Tarot deck, the suits alternate between red (Coins or Cups) on black (Wands or Swords) or vice versa. As mentioned before, the Triumphs are exempt from this rule and are only required to follow the descending order of the column.

The game is fully playable, but I have plans for some changes to enhance the user experience. An overview of the rules can be found in game, but a more comprehensive guide is available in the rulebook; which is available for download.
